My name is Mo Abadeer, I am a Coptic Sudanese artist born and raised in Toronto with a Bachelors of Arts at the University of Toronto. In exploring Identity in literary and visual  disciplines, I use a critical and interdisciplinary mindset in my practice which ranges in formats of drawing painting poetry, animations, sound and photography.I take a particular interest in understanding the way one navigates and feels about the world while focusing and incorporating Race Disability and Gender studies. In my practice my research includes interpersonal experience, interviews along with looking at interdisciplinary fields of study. Much of my works have been  influenced by artists such as Sarah Bahbah and Shirin Neshat who use text in their artwork for story telling/ identity. I have a specialty in Textile arts as I am interested in story telling with art, which inspired me to run my program called talk to me in textiles. To learn more about my programs or collaborate on event with me feel free to contact me through this website or with my email moasaadcreates@gmail.com
